Most interesting to see all those geraniums growing here. Shows how hardy they are. Another excellent compo.

Great POV, Rita. Luscious greens and much detail. Re the Scottish walls, our 'dry stane dykes' / dry stone walling, tends to use much smaller stones, not half-boulders like these. I have watched a couiple of experts at work on walls like this, and as a lad carried out some small repairs to them. They need to balance well, but be strong enough to withstand the occasional cow scraping against them. From the size of these stones, I deduce that they must breed the alpinists very hardy and strong indeed! ... ;o) Warm regards, John.

Many tiny roads are open to traffic, always making me wonder how far I will come until the road will come to an end. Love to see it! :)

OMG what a variety of color and impression. You're right too as in Scotland and many places in Europe where there are old cottages or homes still from earlier times, the walls were used as a marker. The laird would grant as much land as a man could mark in a day. He had to haul the stones and place there where he chose but all in the space of a day by hisself. Wonderful picture Sossy... the colors are so amazing. Vibrant and alive.
