Orange Zinnias taken in Chicago.

Thank you all for your kind comments on my last photo, update on the garage door opener my son wanted to buy, well he did buy it, and then when they told him the price to have it installed he said that’s crazy so he called a friend, and the two of them spent most of the afternoon putting it together, we had left for a while to go to the hospital and when we returned his friend, Chris was back over in the garage finishing up. So we told him to come upstairs and join us for pizza, and later they finished and brought me a beer to celebrate and said they were going out for a while to celebrate their job LOL.. They were pretty proud of themselves, and I was impressed that his friend would give up most of his Saturday to that for me.I Hope you all have a fantastic Sunday!!

Great story Lynell. I am always afraid my opener will fall on to my car - right through the windshield. I installed a safety cable to the overhead joists just in case - it will catch it if it falls . . . ..just like me . . .B

so those are zinnias, and they're taken in Chicago! Well I haven't seen too many of them this month, at least not outside! Thanks for giving us a closeup of the stamens (if it's the same flower, maybe it's another zinnia), so we could see what an active procession those flower-centers really are. It's really complex & beautiful. Glad you got your garage door fixed with the help of self-sacrificing souls. A very cheery image for winter, love those stamens...
