My goodness, two birthdays in a row: Happy birthday to Kort (today) and Bruce who celebrated a birthday on Wednesday. May this photograph be a reminder of boldness and courage to you both.
This is a young male lion I had the privilege of spending some time with recently. As cantankerous as hell because the poor animal lost a canine in a fight. He is known as the one not being kept by fences and navigated a 7 feet electrified fence with apparent ease on two occasions - well of course there was a lady in heat involved. LOL

What a beautiful fellow! His coat is gorgeous, and I see the missing canine, poor baby...excellent capture and dedication, especially for Bruce, considering the size of the fence HE hopped to get to his lady!

this is super. love to see wild animals still roaming around. to me as I take photos of wild animals it gives me a feeling that is diff than ones I take if they was in a zoo. happy brithday to both

aww..... Poor kitty!! You can see his smile is not quite what it used to be. What a gorgeous guy he is, tho. Amazing capture, Piet. Mine would be blurry from me shaking in fright. lol. You took a beautiful photo - all the right things in focus and the lush background slightly out of focus to give this image depth. Perfection!
