Description

When a new potential planet is discovered, the terraformers move in and begin the process of making the planet habitable for it's future occupants. We always think of earth when we think of terraforming, but not all sentient beings are human, so planetary needs vary. When terraforming is nearly complete, large bubbles are errected wich support life until terraforming is complete, and early settlers move in to start colonization. We see such a scenario here, the ship you see leaving has just dropped off the first settlers and their supplies. I've used piotr's (from DA) spiral, our own bunny's web elements for the planet surface and her etech hallucinations for the space ship. All Apo scripts; assembled in PSP, stars and planets, framing and initials also added in PSP. Thank you all for the good thoughts and good wishes, they have enouraged me greatly to work off the effects of this flu thing I had a few weeks backs! Thank you for the wonderful comments on the last posting, the snapshot of the mourning dove. I just love reading your comments and treasure them so! And thanks for all the faves, it always surprises to get them, LOL.

A great story to go with this super little scene which you have created so well. It kinda reminds me a bit of what happens when they convert one of our farms here to dairying. The earth movers move in to flatten everything for the irrigation booms then the huge dairy shed gets built and then the new house and then the cows come and they are in business. Your scene looks far prettier.

What Bampster said! Glad to hear that you beat that nasty flu bug into submission. I find that a flyswatter or boot work wonders on those little bugs. I love how you put all these elements together to create a scene that tells a story. The fractal in the upper left lights up the whole scene and the simple orange dot adds the feel of a destination beyond the stars. Beautifully done, my friend.
