Description

Hey people, well what a great day! I find out my exam is actually 3 days later than I thought, meaning more time to cram and, better than that... the lens I've been wanting for ages arrived (the Sigma 10-20), and it was a pretty perfect day for heading out and taking a few test snaps. I had great fun getting used to the wide perspective it offers and stopped by a couple of spots in town 'just to see what I could get in'.. =) I'll admit for a second occasion that this shot was inspired by one I'd seen of Rich's (here), but the angle is only possible with such a wide lens set to 10 or 11mm... the original 'Ruined' was the best I could do at 18mm, and so I was keen to go reshoot it and get the pov I'd been waiting for.. here's the result. Well happy with the lens so far =) The shot shows part of the ruins of the cathedral in St Andrews, Scotland. I haven't tried to correct the perspective, just removed a bit of barrell distortion. Enjoy, and have a good evening! Adam

This is first rate...makes me anxious to go out and get the only Olympus lens that would make this possible for me...a 7 to 14mm lens that costs almost three times as much as my camera. Sigh...I'll keep wishing for awhile. I, too, am glad you linked to this photo...outstanding.
