My name, and those words are the last 3 words in my favorite book, Jitterbug Perfume by Tom Robbins.
I wrote a story a few years ago called the Tale of the Terrali Nighthunters, and in 2007 published it as a novel. You can find it on Amazon if you are interested. In search of cover art, I discovered Daz Studio and made the cover as my first ever render in early 2008. The bug bit and I have been a bit obsessed with it ever since.
Soon after, I purchased Carrara 6 Pro. I spent a year fiddling with it and coming up with decent renders, but portraits seem to be what I want to do. I think I made some very nice renders in Carrara, but I couldn't seem to get what I wanted in portraits and ended up with Poser 7. My gallery here is all from Poser 7.
With no other reason to render, I've chosen the characters of my novel to create. Once they are done, I suppose I'll have to write the sequel!
I still consider myself a newbie at this, and I envy those of you that can picture something in your head and make it come to beautful life digitally. I don't consider myself an artist at all, I'm an accountant turned school teacher, but I do love this hobby. I don't have much time with it, and I seem to take forever to actually compose something so my renders are few and far between. I accept all suggestions and criticisms and would love to become more skilled.
Thank you for looking.

Good looking render and character

Very excellent image - love the way he "angles" together; the right forearm, sword, shoulders ... lots of nice visual flow. Since he's almost squished into the frame, perhaps even chopping of the top of his head off would help match the rest of him. Great image.

Excellent work, your lighting really sings in this one. It is so hard to get good lighting on swords but you manage to get the entire blade nicely lit. Close up reveals incredible skin detail, it show the rough texture of a man used to spending time outdoors. He has the confident look of an experienced swordsman despite his relatively young age. Really finely crafted work.

I like his smug little smile. -^
