Just like Mike above I have studied this pic for the longest time and am dying to know what it is. Great idea for a pic, it really causes one to give pause and examine it. Of course as we are being pounded with freezing rain as I type I may get to see a lot of this first hand. :)

Iced over rock...a layer of snow and some very colorful vegetation popping through. A zoom brings it all together.

These are rocks and flat surfaces that have frozen over from rocks that have water flowing out of them.

Ok!! i was looking at this for a while and I now see what you shot, first off I was thinking you did some work in Photoshop but the i seen the stones under the ice with a dusting of snow on top. so the end result is you made a had shot and got everyone to study it and now Ithat I can see it it is a cool shot well captured.
