Ok, I've been thinking of you as the wizard of apophysis, but I guess I'm going to have to expand that. You managed to overcome one of incendia's weak points---the harsh, sawtooth edges and the way the focus doesn't soften in the background parts of the image. It looks like you used the vol. fog to soften the center, but how you got that marvelous, velvety softness to the rest of the image is masterful and a mystery to me. You put together the best results of your apo work, (the finish, 3D depth, and rich, saturated colors), and the best 3d possibilities of incendia. Hats of to you.

In reply to neoexcello's comment regarding the softness of the image, I did use volume fog to achieve some of the softness. In addition, some of the softness came from rendering the image very large, then applying a couple of passes with a mild Gaussian blur in PSP, and then resizing the entire image in PSP. Collectively, that procedure helped to eliminate the jagged and sawtooth edges that seem somewhat inherent with Incendia. I neglected to mention the gaussian blur treatment in my original image description. In fairness, I have edited the description to make reference to the blur. Also, sometimes I find that a shorter render time produces more of the feel I want than a long render. I just play around to see what seems to get me where I want to go. ya works with what ya got...... Apo also seems to have some issues with jagged edges in certain situations such is fine lines, sharp angles. Those I usually deal with by rendering large and then down-sizing.
