Description

This is a woodcarved version of "Oto's" ship from last nights post to my gallery. This time the "Groboto" object(the ship)was imported as an .Obj into ZBrush...the waves and the stand for the model were made in ZB. ZBrush render...Postworked in Photoshop. Now let's get a little WIERD!!. I remember many years ago seeing a form of Art/Sculpture where the object/artwork only makes sense when viewed from one specific position....if the object or the person viewing it is moved then it just appears to be a random mess. This is one of those models/sculptures...there's probably a name for this kinda thing....do'nt know what it is....but it is quite WIERD....Scroll to the bottom of the image to check out the same model viewed from different angles. TFV.

Excellent use of both programs to get an object that looks carved. Digital carving is truly a fascinating prospect and you have captured it perfectly... 5+++ on this one...

nicely done! very creative artwork man! i believe the kind of pics u are talking about (the ones viewed from a certain angle) are done by MC Escher. Most of his work is the trippy imposible kind.. check out his stuff! :-)

I dont think it falls under Anamorphism....but I know what you mean. Actually I dont know if the style has a name?! Regardeless ...the results of this image are a sheer beauty for its power of light & form. The refelection extentuates the form in perfect balance. Love this image for all of the right reasons! Definitely worthy of showcasing!!!!!!5* FAV. ( & you know I only Fav great works! )
