Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Wow, beautiful. Wonder where I could get some...I don't think anything but cut flowers are sold here in the dead of winter...then maybe they grow in Northern California but not in Kansas in January anyway:)

Mine don't bloom all year round but they are alive and that is the best part! They survive the cold, frost and flattening wind. Gorgeous vibrant bold colors and delicate drops to decorate the petals with.

Glorious! Such amazing colour! Love the drops, gives the impression of dropping in first thing in the AM.

yeah, they are photogenic...this shot looks almost like glass because you caught a lot of water on it and it gives it a translucent look. Very soft...and the stamens are soft too, and their yellows are beautiful against the deep ochre rusts...very nice shot of a flower. Nice how much you love & know nature...
