Description
Forty two Spad A2s were supplied to France and fifty seven to Russia.Naturally the type was unpopular with observers, who would certainly be crushed by the engine in even the slightest crash.

Oh I don't know, I think that spinning propeller might be first on their list of worries in a crash. Man, that was a bad design.

a marvel. these should be in a book!

Probably one of the worst designs of the war. However a look at the fuselage shows the development of the later SPAD designs. Your usual great render!

Sir, you didn't on general make observtions on your draws. This one was completely unnecessary. About the worst designs (Buffallo1) I don't know. Probably the stealth aircraft on the WWI made of plastic? Just waiting for those. Oh just almost forgot. "unpopular with observers". Good joke. *****

Unpopular - I think they must of had stronger language then unpopular lol. Horrible design yet very well presented.

great work, shows how little respect they had for human life, that propeller would be a real meat grinder. Btw, where there reported casualties?
ekatz
amazing. I wouldn't think that the prop would be very efficient

I've got a book on the worst Aircraft designs ever! And let me assure you all, this is NOT the worst ever design! It's a bad one but NOoooo. Not the worse. Another top job, my friend. Great 3-way or even four! And snappy bit of info! Rob. (My fav! TSR2? don't know if thats too modern for you?)
