I'd never tried photographing bees--this was my first attempt.

Outstanding first attempt. The wings are just flappin' and look great! I have a difficult time timing shots to catch them in flight...a lot of that is because when they are not sitting still and are buzzing around, I tend to run the other way. :-)

The flower came out lovely too. It will be interesting to see how you progress in this new area. It would be great to see some very closeup images of bees (and other insects).
