Description

Cronus is the Greek name for Saturn, and Cronus was the leader of Gigantess of whom Enceladus was one them. So its rather fitting to name the lander Cronus. Enceladus could well be the next hotspot for astrobiology because of the discovery of liquid water that is spewing out of geyers. Its the first time that we detected liquid water outside our own earth-atmosphere. Apart from plain old water they found nitrogen, methane, carbon dioxide, propane, ethane, and acetylene. A rather intresting mix of chemicals. More importantly, the found no Ammonia wich acts like an anti-freeze and lowers the freezing point of water. This suggests that pressurised water can be found beneath the surface with a temperature of just below zero degrees celcius. A potential hotspot for life? Additional, all modelling is done within Bryce, i am no so happy with the thrusters exhaust. BTW i also updated my previous picture, just a tad larger and a new background.
