No he wasn't stoned when I met this cute little guy (though he was moving in a strange way...) ;) I don't know which species it is, does anyone?? Have a nice weekend and thanks for looking and all your comments and favs which I appreciate very much. :)

How exciting, Karsten! This is almost certainly the Garden Tiger, Arctia caja. Hippy indeed when you see the adult, Giraffe like markings on the forewings and blue spots on an orange ground on the rear! A superb shot!
