To all of my mother's Renderosity friends:
It saddens me to no end to tell you that my mother, Mina, passed on May 31st, from endometrial cancer. She is survived by my father, Roger, and myself. I apologize for not letting you all know sooner, but her passing has left me with a broken heart and it is very hard to write this, even now. I don't suppose there will ever come a time that it will be easier.
I know how much she loved you all, how much it meant to her to have met such wonderful people, and how much it meant to her to create & share her art with you. I am leaving her work here for a while, as tribute to her, her beauty, her talent & her love.
Brightest Blessings to you all!
Heather

Thanks to all for stopping by and hope you enjoy your visit.

I like that the only color is her eyes, beautiful work Mina :)

The title really fits the image, she looks so sad and I think the sepia tones accentuate that feeling. Beautifully created with much imagination and talent.

Yep! and fun filled time seems to fly by just to darn fast! I realy love the blue eyes Mina, and how it stands out against the sepia background!

Sad but lovely!

another of your single-palette works, though you (as always) create many palettes out of a few...you've scratched & hewed this as if it were an old daguerreotype aged by neglect, and you've given sadness the feeling of an old slightly decayed state of mind...I suppose what sadness would feel like if it lingered too long. All of Romeo and Juliet is about longing and unrequited love, and it only reaches an end in the death of the lovers; so your image is fitting for a yearning for something not attainable here and now, but whose 'native hue' is eternal. You do wonders with simple palettes & textures; and whenever you do, you prove to us that a world can be created with simple basic materials. Another fav for its mood, its execution & its beauty. (Hope the sun is shining in and on you, dear Mina! Light & fullness your way!)

Awesome work, and equally awesome title-snatch from the Bard. I'm in love with the sepia and effects..and oh, the contrasting lipid blue of those eyes! Strikingly emotive piece, as always :)
