Description

Good Friday morning, I hope everyone is well. I wanted to thank everyone for their kind comments on my last post I did for my daughter. Her concert was incredible I ordered a few DVDs for family members that couldn’t make it. Tonight is her party, and she is getting a lap top as a present from us. She has no clue and didn’t ask for one, but I got an awesome deal through a friend, so she will be thrilled, I am jealous I want it haha, oh well it will free up some of the stuff she keeps on mine, I tunes, my space and such. I wish everyone a wonderful weekend.

Excellent postwork Lynell! I was born in a town that is famous for its apples so you find this sort of stuff all over town and of course in everyones home! Somewhere I have some antique box labels and a wooden box, will have to look them up to share with you!

Oh what a lovely photo, it looks to be such a warm and welcoming image. I love apples and have one every evening, in the hope that I won't succomb to a supper instead lol. Have to watch the weight now. hugs Jane xx

has a painterly feel, partly from the hues and partly from the gentle grain & shadow of the shot. I don't know where you find these collections of old objects and memory-laden things, but you find them and they're wonderfully evocative & packed. Those apple-based lamps & pillows & towels, etc: Where in the world do they find these things? It even looks like you have an old scale in the background (for weighing apples perhaps), and those apple ashtrays (or serving plates). This must be an "apple" section of a store (the lamp covers are still on): It's a fascinating & fun mixture, and I love the pillows and that big 'apple' lamp (it looks more like a pear, actually!) Lots of fun, but also a fascinating shot in its own right, doused in a patina of memory. Lovely work, again...
