Description
Memphis actually experienced some snow this week! Not so much in town but quite a lot out where I live (at least by our standards). So of course I had to make my obligatory visit to Victorian Village.
As always, visiting Victorian Village is a pleasant slip back in time to another world. The "village" is an area on Adams Street near downtown Memphis that stands as a stunning reminder of the golden years in the 1800's when that part of town, then on the city's edge, was one of the prime real estate areas.
Many of the mansions there are fully restored. This is the Mallory-Neely House which adds a unique Italian architectural style to the Village. Its neighbor a couple of houses down, the Woodruff-Fontaine House, is a fully restored three story French Victorian Mansion.
Not a lot of snow here, but any amount at Victorian Village is a delight to see, and always a good reason to return with a camera.
Cheers!

Beautiful pic of this incredible old mansion. I love this place and if I ever get to visit Memphis visiting Victorian Village will be on top of my priorities.

Stunning building!

Gorgeous photo and stunning architecture! I've always preferred vintage architecture over cold glass and steel structures which to me lack warmth. I would LOVE to live in something like this..just not as big (thinking about all the dusting and cleaning I'd have to do, LOL).

This is beautiful, I remember when you posted this building once before. The snow adds even more charm, very nicely done.
