Description
Stylophorum diphyllum
The flowers have four yellow petals about an inch long. The flower buds are covered with two hairy sepals.
Be careful if you plant this flower in your garden, as it spreads rapidly.

This reminds me of a fairy creature coming to life. Very pretty.

Our California golden poppies are like this... they go all over the place. I rip up as many as I allow to grow and each year it is denser and denser with poppies. This is a very interesting shot. The papery bulb like bud seems to have a very interesting hair-do. Great details!
