Description

A small piece of history getting over taken by "progress" as Brisbane keeps on with becomming a "modern" city. Should have left it how it was and built the modern stuff somewhere else. Crazy weather over here, the top end of Australia is flooding big time & the bottom end is burning. Thanx for dropping by, you know that your comments & ideas are always appreciated.

Some folks only want new and different. They are seldom ever satisfied. Excellent

This is a winner Ralph. At first I thought you might have applied some selective coloring...to emphasize the grayness of the modern...then I wasn't sure...but on second or third look, my vote goes to yes you did. Am I right? Really like this.

Like it or not, time marches. And soon... Well, parking will become an issue, church attendance will slide, and the gray monsters will win, to be replaced in the far future with what?

Well seen, excellent shot! Crazy weather is everywhere... in Houston during the day we get about 20C, while nighttime it drops to 0...

An astonishing shot! A brilliant piece of art on your part, a dismal failure for the planners.

Reminds me of a book I read to my son when he was very little, a tiny house that's surrounded by "progress" and one day a girl walks by and realized it's her grandmother's house. She moves it back to the county and they all live happily ever after---if only!! Great shot and contrasts!!

Its such a shame when the new blocks out the old in cities, sadly its being done here on our small Island. Our latest hotel has just won the "Carbunckle" award for the worst bit of modern building work throughout the UK, not much to be proud of.
