Description

Since it already is feb 1st here, I start with a landscape, which is the theme in 2D Forum this month. As so often I just go out in my forest. 5 minutes from home. I love this little stream, shifting every season. Here from a walk this autumn. Thanks for viewing and the comments you want to give.

In this masterpiece, you have made me feel as if I am a part of this place...a bit of bark on a tree, a tuft of grass, a bubble of rushing water in the stream. I am so comfortable here. Outstanding work.

Yes, the water always tells such a lovely story of the seasons. And this flowing stream in your special forest is very beautiful. CC

How lovely! It reminds me I'd like to take the kids to Yellowstone this summer. It's been years since I've been West but this stumbling river and the framing branches bring it all back for me. You've captured a wonderful space in time and given bits of it to us once again.

Really lovely artwork! It is so nice to see where you have been and to see what your eyes have seen. It is wonderfully intimate, almost as if we were there beside you! Thank you for sharing with us :)

I know I'm skipping around, I'm just trying to criss-cross my way over what I missed...I've always loved your painterly treatments of landscapes; this one is very quiet & feels like a mix of oil and watercolor (not an easy mix to emulate!). And the subtle light you create—in the center—is beautiful & quiet. Your treatment makes the scene look very intimate. The trees criss-cross the water with beautiful softness too...Another beautiful transformation; as much a metamorphosis as the formal ones in the 2D monthly metamorphoses. And peaceful too.
