My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

I've had the same experience...I still own my father's house in Maine...he passed in September 2007...I visited in late September 2008...driving the same car...down the same, dead end road where his little cape Cod style home sits in the woods. Nothing has changed. I'm the same, the car is the same, the road is the same, the house is the same...his bed is neatly made as usual, he just isn't there anymore. The lady's husband across the street has passed, their pet cat who my dad used to feed has died...but everything else is the same. Or is it? I am not holding the house for sentimental reasons...eventually, when things pick up, it will sell.
