Description

Ah, to dream and per chance to slumber once more so that I might light upon stars in the night sky. 'Tis surely a dream from which I must soon awaken... and yet... per chance... I can in this dream linger a while longer. Oh what a joy it is to dream... but how sad it can be to have to face once more the realities of life. Well it doesn't have to be that way because we know the truth of our being. We can bring those dreams into being if it is our wish. We can bring that which we desire into being by dwelling upon its qualities for that which we dwell upon takes form. By creating a mental equivalent of our desires, we are telling our subconscious that our desire has taken form. We can do this by creating and holding the mental equivalent of our desire in our waking conscious. Sort of like a waking meditation. We can ask ourselves "what does it feel like to have our desire take form?" Then when we capture that sensation, we can dwell upon that feeling. Is there a color perhaps or a size and shape? If there are, paint that picture too. By adding these feelings to our waking meditation, we are telling the mind that our desire exists. Once we start this engine of dreams, the mind has but one choice and that is to cause us to take action to bring our desire into form. What an amazing experiment to try. How divine. How simply divine. Our thought for the day is: 'Meditation is not a way to enlightenment, nor is it a method of achieving anything at all. It is peace and blessedness itself. It is the actualization of wisdom, the ultimate truth of the oneness of all things. Quote by Dogen Translated by Stephen Mitchell May you move through your day easily and effortlessly and may you bring that which you desire into form. © Gayle O This is a single flame created in Apophysis 3D Hack 2.08. This was created by working with the Tips for Textures with Crackle tutorial written by skellorg at DeviantArt. The tutorial download can be found in the fractal resources section at Deviant art. There were some major tweaks by me. Post work was done in PSP. Thank you for stopping by to share a moment in time with me. I appreciate you viewing my art and leaving comments on my images. Each one is like a precious jewel and that I will always treasure. I send a most heart felt thank you to those of you who have favored me as an artist or have favored one of my images. You make my world a little brighter and bring rainbows to my valley of life. What a wonderful gift to receive. May your day move easily and effortlessly and may the dreams that you dream this day bring a song to your heart and passion of to your soul. Namaste.

Beautiful thoughts and work! I see a library with an 'almost' door at the bottom which I want to go through and explore the other side...somewhat like "The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe."

I want to catch up with the others I've missed, but I had to start with this. (I'll catch up soon!) Dogen also said (something like): "Before enlightenment, mountains are just mountains; during enlightenment, mountains are no longer mountains; after enlightenment, mountains are mountains again..." I'm probably quoting badly (sorry, Dogen!) but your piece makes me think of that (along with the fact that you quoted him on that beautiful thought of meditation as blessed light itself). Maybe Dogen was telling us that when we see deeply, we no longer have to seek transformations, because the real essence of everything is within us to begin with—mountains are just mountains because they don't have to be anymore, because everything was in them to begin with...That's what your words remind me of, that our dreams are in us, and we don't need to travel the world to find them: They fulfill themselves in our very hearts. And the image: You've created this opaque 'creamy' look in your droplets & sinewy forms, and they are lush & luscious & sensuous in both physical & spiritual ways. And this piece, as Richard says, it like an entry to a palace...it is truly dominant from the center of the soul. It's another of your lush pageants, a large inner dance; and your forms, undulating & shining, are getting so touchable I'm seeking ways to download it in full physical 3 dimensions. If I find a way, I'll let you know! Luscious and beautiful, and a fav.
