Hi All,
I have dabbled in computer graphics for many years, renewing my interest when I discovered the community on Renderosity, many years ago now. Thanks for all the friends, support, comments and just views! I hope that you like what you see, and don't mind my endless experimenting and daft sense of humour!I have become something of a champion for Carrara and believe it to be one of the most comprehensive and best value 3D packages available. I became known for my extensive use of Carrara's dynamic hair and 2010 has seen the release of a number of commercial Carrara hair products. I have also recorded a whole series of video tutorials for Infinite Skills Inc available over at Daz and also here:http://www.infiniteskills.com/training/learning-carrara-7.htmlOne of my other passions is music and I used to be keyboard player with progressive rock band Manning (2008-2009). I was delighted to make my recording debut on "Number Ten" released early 2009 - I also had a big hand in designing the CD cover and booklet! I am now writing and recording some demos of my own music. Thanks for looking - have a great day! Phil

This is a very good work! Perhaps a bit fog or haze in the background could make it look even more real. Well done!

Phil, This is brilliant. The only suggestion I can maake is maybe make it a little lighter and add a little distance haze? But it's brililant as it is, mate!

mate..pretty interesting... based on my limited knowledge : you gotta see the type of sunlight used..it's seemed like in the 2nd picture, the shadow of the trees seemed to be casting the opposite way:)

Pffffff !!! every time I tried to use "replicator", I never have a so good distribution... Y're a master ! :-)

Awesome Phil - this is very impressive. All I can suggest for the "model" look is the difference must be in lighting and atmosphere. Keep with this its so cool!

Cool! This will be a fun project to follow. The video looked great too!

Looks very good so far, to me the most obvious problem is the river. The color seems too light and the size of the ripples is too large which puts off the scale of the whole image.

This is very cool and I see tons of ways to use it. Is it available to others? Nice work.

This is indeed a wonderful scene which shows sophisticated usage of Carrara's surface replicator. I've often thought of trying such a scene and here you've gone and done it! Your success here is very inspiring! One minor suggestion, and only because you requested them; the tree distribution is wonderful, yet the trees look a bit homogenous, perhaps adding a slightly different colored tree, or two to your replicators would make the tree population look a little more varied. Kudos for your execution of your idea here!

Fantastic Project and final result Phil!

It's an excellent bit of work. The ripples for the river are definitely too large though.

Found it! This is really wonderful! I had no idea that such lovely scenery could be created in the programme. I'm still sticking with Vue though ;-)
