Description

Ultrafractal 4.04 "...Meeeoooowwwrrr! Yo, B - whatcha doin' steppin' our turf, boyee? An' hustlin' that catnip without givin' us a cut? We the only playas in this neck o' Brooklyn cause, like Kid Rock "sorta" said, "we ain't straight outta Compton, we straight out the shelta!... Leonardo, hair ball this sucka!" Or something like that :-) Ok, so this is more what I had in mind to do with the cat-like IFSbarney shape I'd tweaked into existence b4 my last post took over my mind and made me do weird things to it - lol. All done with IFS Barnsley+jock III, some Doodads II, some Gnarly Orbit Traps, some Popcorn Orbit Traps, a bit of Harlequin II....and a ton of masks - natch! I get a vibe like a gang of tall cats peering down at you a bit menacingly like you're a mouse from the dual cat shape and it influenced the vibe of the rest of the pic as it came along. I did finally figure out how to get the algorithm to trap just one "cat" so I added the "big honcho" in the back. (and what are those funky things floating near their heads? You've got me. You know how it is with fractals! - sometimes stuff just happens - lol) The background suggesting (at least to me) an urban metropolis/street scene-like vibe came from playing with a neat combo of formula/ucl that Ed Cole turned us onto on the UF Mailing List. Some great ideas get tossed around there and those folks sure know what they're doing - check it out if you aren't already there. Great learning opportunities. Thanks for stopping by! (Anybody got a few Benjamins to loan me for protection money before these cool cats come by and use my furniture to sharpen their claws?) c-ya! Rick -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ***(Fine art giclee' prints of most of my work are available in limited edition on archival paper or canvas - e-mail: drahcir3@hotmail.com and get busy filling that empty spot on the wall! Unique, "one-of-a-kind" (edition size = 1) prints and embellished prints are also available*** :-) ***This image is solely the copyright of Richard B. Wonderful! Love the way you bring a sense of depth to the shapes, also in the background.

The cats in our neighbourhood are a wary lot. They do meet sometimes, spit, claws flash, and some nifty jumping results. The birds love it - the perfect spectator sport when seen from any nearby lofty perch. I like this image. The cats (sorry, Katz) are clumped into a subtle unity which accentuates design. Nice.
