Description

M4 with Grandmaster by Elsina. The armor is the Paladin armor from Xurge3D. Mil horse with one of cwrw's wonderful textures. The background is one of a set by Dawn aka 1010, called Fanciful Backgrounds Into The Woods here in the marketplace. No postwork on this. I tried a version using the Mane and Tail pack by cwrw but just couldn't get it to look the way I wanted it to, so I re-rendered using Mil Horse's own mane. I'm happy with the finished product. I hope you like it. Thanks in advance for any comments. Edit: At the time I posted this, I was unable to give credit to the artist who inspired me to create it, because I had forgotten that artist's name. However, I recently re-discovered that artist, through someone else's favorites. So, to make things right, I really need to give full credit to j-art, and his wonderful painting, "An Old Man and His Trusty Friend" for inspiring me to create this render. I fell in love with that painting when I first saw it, and when I was thinking about what I wanted to create when I started this, that image came to my mind and so I decided to see if I could do it in DAZ. Thanks Uwe, for the inspiration :)

Job well done Jayne. The thing that really grabs me with this one is his expression and the way the horse looks back to him. They really look as though they've spent a long time together, love, respect, and trust each other. Maybe I'm reading into it, but getting people to do just that is a success in my book.

While the love is expressed as much today I think your image brilliantly captures the emotions between the warrior and his steed from times gone by. They certainly were more bonded due to the fact they depended on each other; more often lived, fought and died together.
