Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Rats? RATS???? I'd get out of there if I were you! Is it low tide in this shot? Looks like a lot of leg on those pilings! Great shot, now watch where you're stepping!

Nice color on those pilings. I used to fish a place at night back in Texas that had nutria running on the rocks around me. Unnerving to say the least!

I love the dialogue about rats here! Someone doesn't like rats, I see...Well the photographer James Nachtway was photographing during war, and a bullet grazed his hair. It's on film: He's crouching and—whoosh—a bullet grazes his hair. The editors of his magazine saw the film and their jaws dropped to the floor: That's how crazy photographers are! So I say, put on fatigues, stick on your gas mask, wear your armor, whatever you gotta do—hell, carry a freakin' sword—but get that shot! When the rats see your dedication, they'll stop & bow... I love the shot, I love the luminous gold on the pillars, and the water & its reflections; and that you caught the platform on the right. You really do well with piers & water: a definite fav. You get real life & light in your dock shots...Btw, 11 more, and you're at 900! I hope to catch up by then!

I wish I did not have dial up or I would tell you how much I dig all your work but this one the little red house and the first glass shots are my faves so far. But this caught my eye its depressing in a way but so cool. Love your work. I look forward to seeing more.
