That's a really beautiful, and strange piece. It kind of reminds me of scales, but so colorful!

At first glance this appears to be a random assemblage of colorful lava. On closer inspection an intricate and deliberate composition is revealed. I found a spider in the lower righthand corner, camoflaged and ready to pounce.

(I realize I'm caught up! I really have to get to your earlier work...I don't get there often enough!) Sometimes you portray sameness and find life in the subtle changes from segment to segment: You've done that here. I could call it "minimalist" except that it's too complex & vital for what usually is called minimalist. You have subtle pageant-like forms (like the left center configuration) around which everything else seems to move (I love that), and another one seems to be starting, far right. But it's all punctuated by these cellular nuclei (mitochondria maybe?) that fill every module in the piece, and they give the piece its rhythms...Looking again, there are pageant-like forms in many places. Always love to see you materialize mythic forms out of organic ones. You know, the one benefit of catching up is that I get a big dose of Mandi in one sitting, and walk away thinking, whoa, it must be intense living inside your imagination! A passionate palette here too...I love your mythic/organic sensibilities.

Very nice work again in this texture which looks rather Suarian and yet the colours add a lot of extra dynamics. Bravo
