self portrait, I have long arms.
I started in photography with a 35mm Pentax about 30 years ago, took a few day courses at a community college, had fun with it for a number of years but my interests and lesiure time changed so I eventually sold the camera. Got in to it again when I got my first computer about 6 years ago and discovered that the pictures from disposable cameras could be put on cd discs. This led to the purchase of an Olympus digital (a point and shoot model) and to my latest which is a Z Model Kodak which has a 5X zoom and is an 8.1 megapixel. A 2X lens magnifier and c.c. complete the package and all this was cheaper to purchase than either of my other two. It's put the fun back in photography for me. Hope one of my photos has triggered an emotion within you, thanks for looking.

Ah, the hardiness of the ice fishermen...I'm always amazed that people can build fires or have propane heaters on top of the ice and not have it all melt away from under them. And maybe the big one with the blue roof is one of those modular kinds of buildings that are easily assembled and disassembled? One can only hope! Nice capture!

I haven't seen you much lately and I see why! Hard to get around in that much snow and ice! It's been many years since I've seen the ice huts on the lakes. This is a wonderful look at them...and yes, you can get as much or as little as you please in these things. That blue-roofed one is really fancy!
