Description
This is the derelict Waterman's Cottage on the lock island at Caversham Lock.
Taken about thirty minutes after the last photo, we were experiencing a mini-blizzard.
With that snow falling and settled on it, the old place, which looks a little sorry for itself at the best of times, looked almost cheerful by comparison - like it had a heart again.
Shame it can't snow all the time. :-)
Hope you like it. Many thanks for the lovely comments on my last shot. :-)

Not many chances like this Kev, i'm glad you're taking advantage of all the fine weather you're getting there. Excellent shot through the snow there.

I love the snow, it is like some flying water for this house.

I am enjoying the snow here as well.. Just not the cold lol but I guess they sort of go together.

In this weather it does appear to be a safe and warm haven. Super shot!

So very lovely!

Very nice shot in some unusual weather for you in the UK. Are there no more men manning the locks or is this an off season? From looking at recent photos of Fred255 it looks like the canal receives maintenance during the winter.

nice capture, it looks a bit cold there on old father Thames.
