Description

I wanted to make an image of this legendary section of the Ledo Road ever since I noticed that Geocontrol 2 could do roads over terrain. This function works quite well, including on very rough terrains like this one.

To make the road, I just followed this tutorial: http://www.cajomi.de/Forum/showthread.php?t=524 The only trick is to place the vector carefully, so that the road looks believable.

Remarkable and very attentive artwork. The render is like a photo ! You created a perfect balance between colorization and details modeling. Well done. _C-O-N-G-R-A-T-U-L-A-T-I-O-N-S !

Interesting use of terrain. However i feel the lighting could be better. brighter sun, deeper shadows ect. Good work though.

This looks wonderful!! I found that tool but I couldn't find out how to make a distribution map with/from it - I see you managed it though :)

Great image and thanks for pointing out the tutorial. I am planning on doing a landscape with some roads in the near future. I have bookmarked it so I can give it a whirl.

I've tried doing this in Bryce5 a few times and gave up. You've pulled this off convincingly and beautifully. Nice job!!
