Hi friends and visitors. Like promised - pictures from my last summer vacations in the Heath. We visited the "Birdpark Waslrode" in last August. I don't remember the name of this bird - next time I will shot the tags on the cages too - but I hope, you like it regardless. Please zoom in! Have a great day ...

If I could name it I'd call it a Crested Jay. Looks like a Blue Jay with a crest is what it seems. :-) They are sturdy and sassy birds and although plentiful and sometimes pesky, they are really an asset in many ways and keep a lot of the garden pests down.
