Description

The translation to the Dutch "Weemoed" would probably be "melancholy". But I thought "Weemoed" fitted better... unless you could suggest another English term. This work was inspired by the work of Nada/Nadita. ^_^ Yvonne

wistfulness , sadness or melancholy! i think wistfulness comes the closest and kind of sounds good as well. geweldige fractal, mooi van kleur en textuur.

So Julia+fbm finally got you! I am happy that you come up with something so totally different. It looks like a collection of abstract autumn leaves to me and I love the way the center of the spiral is there but not very defined. Weemoed is a beautiful word and it expresses something much more subtle than melancholy. There is an active longing in it without the depressive touch of melancholy and it goes perfectly together with an autumn mood. We have the same word in German (Wehmut), I may use it one day for an image, if you don't mind.
