Description
When you think that this was one of our front line fighters from 1926 right up to 1938! Whilst this machine was still operational the 109 was actually being prepared for fighting in Spain. If we'd stuck to aircraft like this, instead of having the Hurricane and Spitfire we would definitely have gone the same way as all the other European countries.

Still, it's a pretty sexy looking biplane.

Great looking illustration. There was a good number of people that where very reluctant to go to monoplanes.

maybe you would be speaking German and eating weiswors and kraut instead of fish and chips! this is a great looking aircraft, would love to see one flying, wonderful illustration

A great detailed image Warren and yes it's hard to believe these were still the backbone as late as they were. It's amazing what can be achieved in a small space of time when needs must.

Another great view! Well done again. There is one on show at the RAF Museum. I've posted a photo a while back. (The wheel struts look a tad short to me? Could be the angle. ) These are great views though - keep it up! Rob.
