"Religion is the receiver by which we view our barren landscape" is the message I view in this piece. I wonder what the artist's idea was?

Thought provoking. My take: It says we are all subservient to ideologies perpetrated through the mass media.

this image is ambiguous enough that people will bring their own interpretations to it. you can tell it's about the media, about religion, deception and a harsh, barren environment, but that's about it. i'm impressed by how you've used imagery powerful enough to stir deep ideas, but subtle enough for it to bring out deep and individual feelings from the viewer. my own take is that the media has co-opted religion and given us a message barren of any real life. and that its message is killing us and our world, but we keep clustering around it anyway.

Thought this was a Bryce image at first. It has that look and feel which I miss so often of late and appeals to me. I like the surreal composition.

I read this as T.V. is the new religion for the masses, we all take what they say as word and like most religions it's very deceptive and influencing. Superb.

Dali would have been proud! The inclusion of several conflicting national/religious/political symbols adds a lot of "edge" to this!
