Description

Hey people.. I sympathise if any of you in the UK have been adversely affected by the snow over the past few days, but today there was finally some light worth going out in as it was a clear and most beautiful day in St Andrews. I finally got to scratch that photgraphic itch a little, seeing both sunrise and sunset among my wanderings around the local area. Probably shot about 350 frames, a good portion of keepers so you'll be getting acquainted with where I went over the course of the next couple of weeks as I edit and post them ;) This shot is of the lighthouse in Anstruther, a fishing town on the Fife coastal trail most famous for its award-winning fish and chip restaurant/cafe right next to the harbour where the fresh catch lands. I haven't tried to correct the distortion or perspective on this one... it would be like trying to take the fun out of the lens hehe Enjoy your weekend! nice shot: exposure, flare control, processing all rather cool. It has lost impact tho due to the crop/composition imo. I'd have done something along these lines: http://i145.photobucket.com/albums/r226/inshaala/aaaadams.jpg although i do accept you were trying to get the foreground in a bit more for the shadow lines to the lighthouse. If that is the case get lower to the ground and you will have them and the composition above, as well as some more fun distortion to play with :)
