Description

Switzerland, Berner Oberland, Grindelwald Once there was a station on the Schreckhorn to reach the glacier by cable car. Now it is death but still on the throne upon the glacier. The material they needed to build it was brought by helicopters. Wish you all a perfect weekend! ;o)

WOW,now that is some view. The perspective gives one a sense of the height of that mountain. I wouldn't want to live there though, it's very desolate feeling. Beautiful view.

Now if you want to be alone, this is the place to be. You have shown the world that most people don't see. Nice one Rita.

An intersting POV, and story, Rita. I often see abandoned farms, and buildings, and wonder what life was like for the people who lived in them. This looks like a set from a film, but must have had a wonderful view, for those who were lucky enough to ride the chairlift... Thanks for sharing this piece of history. Warm regards, John.
