My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

If I’m missing from Renderosity from time to time, I’m busy having fun elsewhere.

Most unusual...had to look at the parts and think about this. Very creative. I like it.

Kind of a conglomeration of wet galaxies out there, Tara. Pretty good concept of the airless and featureless planet amongst the cosmos in this composition.

Stunning work! I thought the background was that copper pot you showed us a couple days ago!

Wow, how cool is this--I knew right away what the background was; you're really getting some mileage from that--fantastic idea!!

well first, if Helle does it, it's worth anyone's attention, and I love this concept! But what really sweeps me away is the orb itself: I just love the textures on it—very painterly; you made it shine & metallic but you also made it tactile & swirly & painterly, like I want to go up and hold it. I love the colors from yellows to browns, but you have those grays (whitish grays!) flowing across it like clouds (well I guess that's what they are) and they're just beautiful: a whole lot goin' on in that thing, I just love it. With the 'starry night" of helle's patina, this is the perfect addition. Terrific work. (I wanna take that orb home with me...)

All of the above, and ... what is also fantastic is how scale can impact on interpretation. Is it an orange, somehow defying gravity, suspended in space, or a mooned caught in the web of its parented-planet. No! It's neither, it's digital - fantastic!!!

How did I miss this? WOW! It's amazing. I've just learned that Frank Herbert's Dune series is picking up where he left off at the time of his death. His son, Brian Herbert has written the infamous Dune-7 novel along with a co-writer. I mention this because this image recalls Arrakkis in all of its waterless glory. The colors are perfect as is the entire composition. You're exceptionally good at this space render thing! I love this image!
