Description

I was inspired by the images in a book of Paris at night that I own...the old architecture and grimy textures was the starting point.I created some templates of the balcony railing, bridge supports and architectural detailing in Photoshop and imported them into the terrain editor and created the sections out of lattices.Combining these with cubes,I created the balcony and bridge, and used various textures from cgtextures.com to texture them. The figure is Miki 1.0,both her and her outfit are from eFrontier(she was posed in DazStudio).the foliage is a Bryce preset,as is the river texture, and the lighting is a custom.Postwork in PS(signature)and Photoscape 3.3(bloom filter for contrast). Thanks for viewing and comments.

Great job with the lattices! Very nice scene. I like how the sun is shining though the bridgework.

Very nice modelling work and image composition. I would like to make a suggestion. I think that in some elements (the place were the girl is sitting or the ornaments behind her) you can use the textures with the "object cubic" option, so you would avoid the stripes of the texture.

Excellent work on the architecture and render. The corners look like they need to be smoothed out some. Perhaps the suggestion above will do that - what your doing is way beyond my Bryce skills.

Reminds me of classic flying buttresses on an old Gothic cathedral. Super vantage point of view and great scaling.

Amazing terrain work. Very effective viewing angle. Lighting is superb. Perhaps soft shadows could be an option.
