Lovely shot of the old bridge. Is it the same age as the abbey?

Now, here the foreground adds a lot to your DOF and all around interest. I'm smiling here because yesterday I took 3 or 4 shots framed by two trees close by...the trees were fine...my more distant primary point of interest was completely out of focus. Thanks goodness for digital delete:)

I can see the dark images of the faithful as they slowly trudge across this bridge in the cold. There is a fabulous mood here besides the excellent job of capture.

if it was me taking this I'd have sidestepped a little to the left and pushed that shrub towards the lower right of the frame.. it would balance the compo a little and act as an anchor point for the eye to go along the bank of the river and round to the bridge.. some parts of the snow and sky are also a little overexposed... but a nice snowy scene nonetheless!
