Hi, not uploaded anything in awhile so here is a new pic, taken near Lake Coniston, in the Lake District, England. The Lakes have always been a favourite place of mine to visit. As always all comments welcome.

I love the drystone walls...and this is a wonderful shot; I can't imagine how they're made strong enough without some kind of mortar that a person could use that stair to climb it without making it all fall down!

amazing light and shadows and you've retained impressive detail in the strongly lit wall too

Great shot! I like the light very much, and the subject matter is interesting and beautiful.

A very good image as Adam outlined and I too love such walls and maybe the art in their creation still continues, and looks as if it's conservation is still taken seriously there.

A superb image, I am always amazed at the construction of them. The steps are wonderfully placed

A fabulous shot and also very interesting. I never would have thought about timbers built in to the wall for stairs like this. But then, the wall would have to be massive and extremely well built to do this. Something I don't see happen much around here. :-)
