Description

She is doing better now but she had a bad time in life because of by-polo and a lot of people do not understand her if they do not know her. She never turned on me yet but I know it can happen. If she do I understand what going on and still be her friend. IIf you meet people like that they are nice people but they can turn on a dime and be crazy . just hope they get the help they need. This is why I posted this of her so I can bring this before you so you two will understand. look up by-polo and other stuff that make people go off with out warning. she wish for pray thank you I did used a flash but I had the ISO up high at the time and it washed out the shrit and put grans on the image

BPD is a very sad and disturbing confliction Jock, and it is no respector of age race or creed, I have a cousin who also suffers from it, one minute he can cuddle the world, the next he wants to rip kidneys out at 40 paces, it is a disturbing thing I know, your friend is in my thoughts and prayers Jock, as to the image, I think the graininess adds to this, makes it more of a documentiary style image, that lends itself to the very reason you posted the image in the first place, to highlight the sadness of BPD (BiPolar Disorder)it is also another medical term for manic depression.

I worked with people like your friend for 24 years. It's truly one of the most difficult things a person can deal with.

It used to be called Manic and just about everyone knows someone with it. Medication is usually very helpful but many bipolar people stop taking it once they see they are better and that causes problems. My mother had it and life was hard on me growing up. But, like you, all that can be done when there is an outburst is to remember that they can't help it - they have no control over it - and inside they are the same as anyone else. They need love and acceptance and reassurance as we all do. She looks like she has struggled but with friends like you, she will never be along. I like this shot alot and your awareness of this illness is commendable.

I've had experience with people who are bi-polar, and it's certainly a roller coaster! The only thing that seems to help is medication (it's not a personality disorder, but a chemical imbalance in the brain) and finding the right medication for the right person can be challenging. I hope your friend gets what she needs.

It's a terrible affliction, the meds help but have their own side effects--I wish her peace.

I worked with a nurse with the condition and she did make my life miserable though and of course I was young then and didn't know until later in my years that is what she was suffering from, she ended up losing her job because of it: Sorry that people have to go through such horror in life,it happens to young teens a lot:there is a lot of help for it now : prayers go her way: NIMH · Bipolar Disorder · Complete Publication It may be helpful to think of the various mood states in bipolar disorder as a spectrum or continuous range. At one end is severe depression, above which is ... www.nimh.nih.gov/health/publications/bipolar-disorder/complete-publication.shtml - 50k - this may be of some help"

I work directly in the area of mental health, and yes Bipolar Disorder is a serious condition to live with. I'm not sure if it was wise to splash her story and face all over the internet though. Its a serious violation of her privacy.
