Description
Another of the photos I took at the end of January.
This one is of the machinery that opens and closes the large weir gates on Caversham Weir.
The gates on this section weigh over a ton apiece hence the need for the powerful winch mechanisms.
The river was also running a little high so at least four of the gates are wide open.

Some heavy duty machinery that's for sure! I like the point of view that you captured here. Looks like there are more photo ops on the far side...that building looks pretty interesting!

Looks almost like workers in a raw, the B&W gives a nice aspect.
