Description

Here I was testing AA render settings on the new rig & toolk a random shot of Alex Nikos earlier SineCity worldfiles. The render times have got much better :) In addition I thought Id use the file & test some postworking to try & deliver a greater sense of depth to the image in Photoimpact. I used the following enhancements in v11: Glow Diffuse, Creative Lighting, Light Balance & Sharpening. the overall result I feel gives a good sense of depth to the image but what do you think?!?!? TFV&C Wºz™ PS: Please view Full size before commenting. PPs: Floaters werent removed as I wasnt bothered about them :)

It's sharp as a tack, needed to put on my shades to explore it in full zoom. Killer postworking ::Clapping:: Peace

Well, actually I think that the bleaching of the background kills some depth. Dont know if it was caused by the Photoimpact or the fact you havent checked the "Photofilm" in the Volumetrics.

@Slav....I dislike the photofilm option in Vol, as I find it drops a lot of clarity out of an image, adds gamma & noise to the overall render. Instead I adjust my light/ambience settings to compensate. However I still end up with a small amount of whiteout at the cameras horizon (dependant on suns position & atmos/mists etc). Then when I postworked the diffuse addition this increases the effect of the whiteout as it works on light colours (high hues). So in short...its a combination of the 2. I guess I needed to amend the cameras location to avoid the issue in the first instance. Good feedback. Thanks:)

Cool. Post work is fine but I think I'd have left the sparkling effect out. As for the overblown light, I think this sometimes works. We tend to look for something that is like a photo and you get this effect with photography. It's an area of Mojo I want to experiment more with - exposure or faking things in general for more realistic photographic results because Mojo has limited file outputs for post processing exposures.
