Humanity is still a young race. A mere moment ago, geologically speaking, we were a tenuous race, scratching out our very existance. Trying to stay alive, battling the elements and animals. Now that we are more "civilized", we battle each other. The predator in each of us is not buried very deeply. I fully concur with your sentiments. But, remember, Man is not a solitary preditor (like tigers or leaopards),nor is he a herd animal waiting to be culled by the preditor. We are a dynamic, different creature. And our own worst enemy is ourselves.
