Description

Okay, I admit that the bombers in this piece should have been B-17s or B-24s, but the Halifax is the only heavy bomber in my air fleet, except for the B-2 Spirit and that just wouldn't have been fitting here.

I'll forgive the bomber faux pas as you've done an otherwise excellent job of capturing the period, the snapshot look of it only enhances the feeling. Different numbers on the P-38 noses would've helped though.

It may of happened. Spits escorted B-17's on the later stages back. Also Lancs and Halifax's DID undertake daylight missions very late in the war. Despite there night time camouflage! So, as such. mate the picture is just fine. Top stuff! (drone! drone!) Rob.

s'ok, at that distance in your pic, they could easily pass for b-24's, that's closer? nice feeling of altitude in the piece. the blue cast works really well in this...it has the feel of a frame of 8mm colorized film. i was looking through an album of my dad's photos taken from b-17's over germany and you do capture the impromptu nature of those photos. very nice work.

Nicely weathered. Does look like the picture has seen some time in the closet in the shoe box.

Great feeling to the image irrespective. Good use of the props and the perspective you have to creat the scene.
