Thank you for visiting my Gallery and any comments or critiques are welcome.
Â
I started this adventure in March of 2008 with a desire to realize in images some of my writing that mainly focused on cause and affect of how changes to events in history, technology etc would affect the development of the world around us. 3D art has also increased my interest in mathematics - and how the physics of light and form have been modeled on the computer.
Tools: Bryce, DAZ 3D Studio, Hexagon, GIMP and UVMapperPro. I have been looking at options to create normal maps and to bake AO into the textures.
On Comments:
Thank you to all who have left comments on my images, favoured my images and myself as an artist and sent me friend invites. A special thank you for those that have left comments about what they do not like and what I may do to improve my images. As I am self taught these comments help me improve my work.
I do not have an insightful comment for every work of art I view that often a Hi I was here and appreciated what you have done is of distinct value.
Favorite Artist: Artist that I like the work that they do for a multitude of reasons. It does not mean I will comment on everything they release or even like everything they release. It does mean that I want to be able to look at every thing they release!
3D Art: What must the artist put into an image to claim it as their own instead of the reshuffling of the work of others? This question I find very relevant when considering some of the excellent work that is available as 'props'. These questions have driven me to learn how to work with textures and create/change models so that I can endeavour to put something of my own creation into the images IÂ publish.
Thanks again

I find this one to be quite exceptional. The shader usage on that Dystopia prop is nice but what really makes this one stand out is that you used it as the primary light source. Too often artists light a scene for the sake of it rather than light the scene for what it is. Grand work!

magnus073
It's not too dark at all for mine and I think you did great both in setting up this scene and the effects
shadownet
Really great and not too dark here either. Not exactly sure what the glowing blue thing on the floor is but I don't think you should touch it. :O)

very good lighting..nice and centered in the middle ;) ..well done on this !
Faemike55
Outstanding lighting in this scene! did you use points? if so how many?

Well, I guess the object acting as the main light source is a holographic projection of the facility the scout team is about to invade. The electronics specialist has hacked an interface and voilà - here's the floor plan. Besides the spooky lighting I like the poses in particular. The figures in the foreground really express the state of considering the next tactical step ("So THAT'S the way to the core") just by their gestures.

Sweet render alright. I like how the character are illuminated by the holograph. It's not too dark my end!
Cimaira
This is wonderful! Great posing and lighting.

I think the dark setting adds to the mystery and intrigue of the render. The hologram is the focal point and illuminates the background characters as it should.
