Description
My beautiful five year old Boxer Sam died of a stroke. He was very fit, healthy and loved life...so it goes to show you never know when your time is up. I miss him greatly....he was a great friend and the best dog a man could ever wish for. Bob, the Jack Russell, is still going strong and misses him too. Although they differed greatly in size, they were the same age and grew up best mates since they were 8 weeks old. They went everywhere together. The dog on the left of the frame looked really friendly, but out of the blue came over and wanted to fight all three of us!! He quickly left after seeing Sam's big muscles and teeth, although if the truth be known he would have never intentionally hurt a fly.
I miss the big guy terribly.

So sorry mate! Lost my dog, Holly a while back. (pic's posted a while ago too). At least you've still got Bob. Take good care of him and He'll take care of you. Rob.

Wow, you never know. This is a wonderful tribute to Sam. My Westie is 10 now and Westies usually make it to 13-15. I'm not looking forward to her demise...but as the old Alfred, Lord Tennyson line goes, 'tis better to have loved and lost than not to have loved at all. Tennyson must have been a dog owner too.

They do leave a big space when they're gone--I'm sorry for your loss.

It's a wonderful memory pic and I hope you think of the good times when you remember Sam. My lady's dog is named Sam, too!
