Description

The storm is o'er : the rocky shore Lies strewn with many a corpse, Disfigured by the angry surf That is still murmuring hoarse. And thus the Spanish crew were found, Cast on those barren isles; There, in unconsecrated ground, They rest then from their toils. Based on a story of a Spanish shipwreck off the coast of South America in 1521. It is said all but 16 of a crew of 80 perished. The 16 remaining went slowly mad from drinking sea water. Not a happy story :) Vue 5-I rendered 600 dpi. Models Tascen, 3ds. Some post work on atmosphere in Photoshop.

Posing, colors and composition are wonderful. The water looks beautiful, particularly at the foreground, although to be in keeping with 'still murmuring hoarse' perhaps it shouldnt be so quiet. Are the black shapes on both sides smoke? they are great compositionally but seem too flat to me to be realistic. Captures the mood of the poem very well.
