Description

Captured 2/3/09, very early in the morning, in my condo complex, within mere yards/meters of my devalued dwelling. I was returning from my usual early AM constitutional, walking directly toward the rising sun, when I came upon this interplay between light and darkness. These shots were selected from among many I took of several bushes as I tread my way along the adjoining path. A zoom view, in this case, is a MUST SEE. BTW, in answer to the question about the forked tree I posted yesterday, other than possibly being in the paper bark family, I don't know which species it represents. When it comes to identification, flora is not exactly my forte. But someone out there knows. Thankx for clicking on, and have a heartwarming hump day.

Nice to be able to walk along with you early in the morning. I can identify with you finding it difficult to name that tree, bush or plant. You and I need a field guide:-) Good shots of some sort of green growth.

Wow! This is an attention-getter...I love how you can see the outlines of the flowers through the petals. My grandfather used to grow these; out of ignorance we called them honeysuckle, because we would pull the center stamen (pistil?) out and suck on the sweet nectar at the base (thereby depriving myriad hungry bees, butterflies and hummingbirds of that pleasure!). I since heard what they were really called, but I can't remember. At any rate, I really love this set of shots!

What is this bush? I see some kind of pod, but it is not familiar. Cool catch!

Very nicely done, Harry, the top shot especially is interesting in that the sun shines through the flowers and makes them semi-transparent! All lovely examples of a keen eye to notice new things as you explore photographic opportunities in your area! :)
