I should always pay attention to my intutuion. Even if I am a tad paranoid at times. Becuase it certainly feels like someone is out to get me. But I had dismissed my misgivings so I was surprise as well as startled, when someone grabbed my arm as I was going though the entrance to local ISS offices. I started to whirl and pull free. Then I saw who, or rather what, had grabbed me and I froze in my tracks. Words were inadequate. It took a full ten seconds before my mind shook off my shock enough to swallow hard and shut my mouth. "Captain Dai," rumbled a deep, cold voice. It was statement not a question. It took me another 5 seconds to get my voice to work, "Yes?" I was extremely proud of the fact that my voice didn't waver or squeak. "You will come with me." Again a statement not a question. My wits were finally returning. I admit I'm a bit trouble-prone but I've never been in the kind of trouble that draw the attention of an Imperial Wolf. "I'm on my way to an appointment," I protested, even though I knew it for a futile and possibly foolhardy gesture. "WIth Sector Coordinator Alverson. I know. That is why I am here." I think my mouth dropped open again. I may grouch about Alverson - it is sort scout protocol to grouch about your SC but he was actually the best Sector Coordin I'd ever worked with. I couldn't imagine what he could have done to draw the ire of this cold-eyed Imperial Wolf. "Come on. We don't want to be late." He smiled. It was not, by any stretch of the imagination, a reassuring expression.
